Tony Paris began his web development practice on July 1, 1997, from humble beginnings on the East Side of Flint, Michigan. The practice has operated as AppWT since 2005 and became AppWT LLC in 2020. What started as a passion for building websites has grown into a full-service digital agency serving businesses across the entire United States, plus Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands and South Korea.

Who does the work, where we meet clients, and what we own and run
Team and Capacity
AppWT has the resources of a medium-to-large agency, with small-town compassion and a focus on customer satisfaction.
That size is capacity for projects at large scale, not headcount. The team includes 3 managers, 5 team leaders, 24 AI agents and more than 400 independent contractors (1099). The AI agents are software and the contractors are not employees, so neither is counted in the core team of 8.

The Core Team
AppWT has 3 managers and 5 team leaders. The managers are Tony Paris, Emily Paris and Michael Allison. Michael first came to AppWT as a client and still runs his own business.
Contractors and AI Agents
A vetted network of more than 400 independent (1099) contractors, most of them in the USA, takes on specialist tasks that Tony assigns and manages. 24 AI automation agents run routine software tasks. They are software, not people.
In Person and Remote
AppWT travels to clients on request to support their projects on site, by car, including 13-hour drives one way, and by air for longer trips. AppWT is headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, in Metro Detroit, and works with clients across the United States. In 2026 the team has met clients in person in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland. Clients in Canada and abroad are served remotely, and the team has not traveled outside the USA since COVID-19.
Texas Clients
Texas clients include Austin Lakeside Boat & RV Storage in Spicewood, Austin Lakeside Properties in the Lake Travis area and West Austin Air Conditioning in Lakeway. AppWT has no Texas office. It manages Texas work from Livonia, Michigan, and travels to Texas clients on request.
Platforms and Custom Software
AppWT owns and runs AppWT Institute, AppWT Analytics, AppWT CRM, the AppWT Manuals bookstore, Ranked Realty and Songwright Productions. It also writes online ordering software, custom scripts, patches, add-ons and plugins, has integrated with more than 140 CRM platforms and runs its own hosting servers.
Enterprise Work
The hub is Enterprise Web, AI Visibility and Systems Work.
